Sports Therapy

My family and I love skiing and hiking;  I also know how easy it is to get injured doing what you love. And living with injury pain isn’t really living. I turned to chiropractic care to help me heal my own injuries.

I have worked with a variety of professional athletes and spent hundreds of hours working the sidelines of sporting events. In addition to my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sport and Exercise Science, I am also trained in several modalities of athletic soft tissue work and rehabilitation.  It’s important to me to use the latest techniques to reduce your pain and improve your healing.

My understanding of biomechanics, movement restriction, and connective tissue paths allows me to diagnose muscle imbalances and help improve coordination in your sport(s).

Many professional athletic and sports organizations, as well as individual high-performance athletes and their coaches, recognize the value of chiropractic care for maximum musculoskeletal performance, prevention of injury, and management of injury. The list of advocates for chiropractic is long:

  • Boxing former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield
  • Serena and Venus Williams, tennis players
  • Cristiano Ronaldo, soccer player
  • Professional football players, like Jerry Rice and Tom Brady
  • Professional golfers like Tiger Woods
  • Numerous Olympic athletes and medal winners like Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt

Many of these athletes insist on being adjusted by their chiropractors before competition to optimize their performance.  The Players Association of the National Football League has made chiropractic care an integral part of its sports medicine program. The United States Olympic Committee and those of several other nations selected chiropractors as attending physicians at the Olympic Games. Chiropractors have also been retained at many other sporting events, including the Ironman Triathlon, Goodwill Games, National Sports Festivals, New York and Boston Marathons, and the Pan Am Games.

If you’re an athlete, even if you’re not a professional athlete, let me help you optimize your performance and feel better.
